Scientific Meeting on Kala-azar and PKDL（Bangladesh）

Scientific Meeting of SATREPS was taken place in Filarial and General Hospital, Bangladesh. About 50 persons involved from inside and outside Bangladesh came along the meeting. The meeting started by the opening remark of the Chief Advisor Eisei Noiri (Univ. of Tokyo) and the Project Manager Dr. Rashidul Haque (icddr,b). The comprehensive explanation was lectured by Mr. Masahito Yano, Senior Program Coordinator of JST and Mr. Shigeki Furuta, Deputy-Representative of JICA Bangladesh Office. It was the valuable opportunities for SATREPS researchers to report the results of their studies in Bangladesh. The meeting was adjourned with the review and comment by the Program Officer Dr. Takeshi Kurata.
